Grays Peak is a moderate hike, well defined trail of 6 miles RT.
Starting elevation of 6750',peak at 7920'. Wear good shoes, bring
water, sunscreen and camera. Adventure Pass needed to park at
trailhead. There is a PEAK LOG in a white plastic container on top
of the rocks. This is NOT the cache. The cache is a small painted
tin.
One of Big Bear's favorite hikes offering unique views of Big Bear
Valley. The trail is a steady 3 mile climb with about 1,000
vertical feet of climbing. You will also see portions of the burn
area from the "Butler 2 Fire" of 2007. I am proud to be a part of
ForestAid.net that planted over 25,000 trees in those areas this
year. Have fun and be safe.
