Geocache Description:

Welcome to little known Comanche Park.

The Comanche War Chief cache container is a 35mm film canister in a tree. We don't want you to have to spend too much time hunting so we will tell you that you would be better off to begin your search from under the canopy. The location is a city park so please observe park hours, 5AM to 10PM.

The Comanche Indians were known as fearsome warriors. In wartime each band of Comanche would select a man who has proven that he is a brave fighter and who has the respect of the other warriors as a "War Chief." The war chief was in charge until the conflict was over at which time his authority automatically ended.

We nominate you as the "Cache Chief." If you succeed in finding this cache, you will have proven that you are a brave cacher and have the respect of your fellow cachers. However your reign as Cache Chief will automatically come to an end once you leave Comanche Park so don't let it go to your head.

10/30/11 Moved to another tree on the S end of the park due to tree trimming of the previous tree.
