Geocache Description:

The square in Stewartstown

Stewartstown is located five kilometres north of Coalisland and nine kilometres south-east of Cookstown.

The village was a market and post town in the parish of Donaghendry and took its name from the founder Sir Andrew Stewart who had been granted the district by James I.

The foundation of the village consisting of a square and three streets were laid out at the same time.
