This is the first cache in a series to be determined at a later date. Hopefully, these caches will help fellow geocachers to remember that the Houston Police Department loves to set up traffic speed traps.
After years and years of not being pulled over for speeding, my luck finally ran out. Just weeks before getting stopped at this location, I was stopped and let go with a warning at a location later to be named as Harris County SD - Traffic Speed Trap #2.
After the major rebuilding of Interstate 10, the main lanes were reduced from 65 MPH to only 60 MPH. When drivers exit the freeway they tend to maintain the freeway speeds of 60 MPH. However, the new posted limit for most of I-10's feeder roads is 50 MPH. Hence, my speeding ticket.
