Geocache Description:


This cache is Black Phoebe trail on the opening day of the Fernandez Ranch Open Space. The Fernandez Ranch open space was purchased by the Muir Heritage Land Trust (visit link) ) to preserve this property as open space. This nano-cache has been deliberately hidden such that, I believe, it is wheel chair accessible. The less mobile will not be able to see it but should be able to find it. Although the cache is very small, it shouldn’t be too hard to find.

This was originally a ADA accessible cache, but due to deterioriation of the trail I no longer consider it ADA accessable and have upgraded it to a 1.5T.

The Fernandez Ranch Open Space is accessed by taking Christie Road from Highway 4 east bound only just a few miles east of Hercules. Take a hard right just before the railroad undercrossing. Use extra caution when entering and existing Highway 4, this is a obviously very dangerous intersection.
