cyleriggs: Original CO of this Cache
This Awesome Missouri River Geocache was originally created and placed by, cyleriggs. It is a wonderful multicache hidden along a rarely used MDC Reserve, it has survived the tests of time and an angry, unpredictable river. A change in life has come upon the original CO and his relocation will now prevent him from caring for this geocache. However, in order to preserve B&C's Underlog Cache, I have volunteered to adopt this cache and I promise to keep it rockin'! General Information
This offset multicache is available from 6 A.M to 10 P.M. due to park hours restrictions. Please follow these rules.
This cache is a 1.6 mile round trip hike starting from La Benite park, leading into Liberty Bend Conservation Area. The Lewis and Clark historical markers which line the trail along the Missouri River here are central to the cache.
The shade of the trees and the cool breeze coming off the river make for a rather cool hike despite the summer heat. The cache is not far off trail, so it's not so bad to retrieve in the summer despite some undergrowth.
Cache Instructions
Park at the end of La Benite Park and begin hiking the La Benite trail at N 39° 10.037' W 94° 23.368'. At each interpretive sign you pass collect the information specified below to determine the final location for the cache.
At each sign determine the earliest year mentioned in the text. Ignore time periods such as "1820s" or "1800s". Once you have read the fourth sign determine the location of the cache with the equations below.

Safety Information
- Hunting is allowed on Liberty Bend CA. It is recommended to wear bright colors during deer season (Sep 25. - Jan. 25) and turkey season (Apr. 19 - May 9). Click here to see the Liberty Bend CA hunting regulations.
- Nothing good happens after-hours in city parks, follow the park hours and all other regulations.
- Use caution during high water events as the river is close. When in doubt check the river forecast. At 22ft on the gauge the river is about 7 feet below its banks at Liberty Bend CA.
