This cache is recommended for between June and October, whale watching time in Albany, and before the weather heats up and snakes come out to play. Also a good time to see some wildflowers.
For the first couple of hundred metres the track is quite steep but from there on it levels out.
At the first junction go straight on up the hill taking the longer route.
"Whale of a Time" is a multi cache which takes you on a circular walk along the Mount Martin Trail, starting and finishing at the Ledge Beach Car Park. Another of Albany's great walks.
Enjoy the whale watching lookout points on the way round. We have seen lots of whales, over the years, from this area, close to shore. Please be mindful that this is National Park and brush your shoes, with the brush provided, on the way out. None of the waypoints are more than a couple of metres from the path so there's no need for bush bashing. Beware of snakes as always in the bush!!!!!
Sorry no Geopooches.
