Geocache Description:

This is a series of Nauga-Hide caches. We are trying to become a bit more challenging, to increase the difficulty, but still want to make it easy enough so the whole family can enjoy. In the descriptions of our caches, we may have placed little implications to help you find the cache.

Located in the annex part of the Hop Brook Lake Recreation Area but you don’t necessarily have to access the main area where during the season you may be required to pay a fee. There is an area on Rt. 63 where vehicles can safely park along the western side of the roadway. You will see signs indicating the beginning of the trail. Coordinates to locate a the parking spots are N 41 31.200 and W 073 04.286. This is a traditional cache located off a well maintained trail system. Hike is an easy 0.5 mile trip suitable for children.

You will travel many paths and in time, you will come to a fork. It is up to you to choose the correct paths in life. Should you happen upon the foundation of our existence, you must now realize you chose the right path. Nothing in life comes easy, which is why we may have to do some blazing on our own to get to our final destination. Remember, to get what we want we have to reach for our goals first.

We have selected a very natural location to place the container and placed this container in a somewhat naturally formed hiding place. The container is camouflaged, but it is not covered as most caches are with sticks, leaves, or bark. So in your search please do not disturb any rock formations. It is not necessary to do so to locate or retrieve our cache. The cache is in a small Rubbermaid-type container with pop-off /snap-on lid. It is large enough to hide some swag, coins, or travel bugs. When you are done, secure the lid tightly, and hide the container exactly as you found it to challenge the next cachers. This is a wild cache, so feed the animal before you leave.

We did not see any snakes but keep in mind you are in a natural setting and we ask you help preserve the surroundings for the many wild creatures that live and hide in the forest. It is possible you may come across one or two furry little critters while on your quest. Bug spray is definitely recommended during warm weather.

There is a FTF card game for the FTF cacher, if you so desire to take it.
