Small cache hidden among the walking trails in the Ephrata Heights neighborhood.
The City of Ephrata has constructed a system of walking trails on the east side of town in the area formerly used for the Ephrata Army Air Base. While the walking trail is a nicely paved trail complete with benches for resting on hot summer days there are remnants of the roads that existed during the time of the Army Air Base that criss-cross through this area. Between these roads can be found foundations to the buildings that were part of the base. What is left of the base is the Ephrata Heights residential neighborhood where most of these houses that people live in today were built for those on the base. If you drive through these neighborhoods you will notice similar floor plans from street to street.
