Drivande

Drivandefossen (The Drifting Waterfall)

På staden der cachen er plassert kan du sjå og føle Drivandefossen i Gurosetelvi. Dersom du går nærme nok kan du få deg ein dusj. Her deltok statsrådane Erik Solheim (SV) og Heidi Grande Røys (SV) i opninga av Breheimen nasjonalpark den 15. august 2009
Breheimen nasjonalpark
Breheimen nasjonalpark dekkjer eit areal på 1691 km². Fem landskapsvernområde og to naturreservat grensar til nasjonalparken. Samla er verneområda på ca 1800 km².
Føremålet med opprettinga av Breheimen nasjonalpark er å:
- ta vare på eit stort samanhengande og villmarksprega fjellområde
- ta vare på eit høgfjelløkosystem med eit eigenarta og variert biologisk mangfald
- ta vare på leveområde til villreinstammen i Ottadalen villreinområde
- ta vare på vassdragsnaturen i området
- ta vare på ein variasjonsrikdom i geologi med særprega geologiske førekomstar frå istida og den vetle istida, klima, vegetasjon og landskap
- ta vare på grottene i området
- verne om kulturminne
Ålmenheta skal ha høve til naturoppleving gjennom utøving av naturvennlig friluftsliv.

Korleis komme dit:
Ta vegen fra Skjolden innover Mørkridsdalen. Parker på parkeringsplassen på Mørkrid (Waypoint PA). Gå til fots på stien opp mot Osen og Åsete som er merka med raude T-ar. Turen opp tek ca. 30 minutter. Dersom du ynskjer det kan du gå til Osen ved Åsetervatnet som tek ca. 3 timer til.
Cachen er en plastboks av typen Lock&Lock (13x10x5cm) med svart duct tape og Geocache-sticker. Cachen inneheld loggbok, blyant og nokre bytteting.

On the spot where the Cache is placed you can see and feel the Waterfall Drivandefossen (The Drifting Waterfall) in Guroseteriver. If you go close enough, you can get a Shower. Here the Ministers Erik Solheim (SV) and Heidi Grande Røys (SV) participated in opening of Breheimen National Park august the 15. in 2009
Breheimen National Park
Breheimen National Park covers an area of 1691 km². Five landscape protection areas and two nature reserves adjoin the national park. In total, the protected area amounts to about 1800 km².
The purpose of creating the Breheimen National Park is to:
- take care of large continuous region of mountain wilderness
- take care of mountain ecosystem with a distinctive and varied biological diversity
- take care of the habitat of the wild reindeer population in the Ottadalen wild reindeer region
- take care of the natural landscape of the watercourses in the area
- take care of the rich and varied geology, with distinctive features dating from the Ice Age and the Little Ice Age, as well as the climate, vegetation and landscape
- take care of the caves in the area
- protect the cultural heritage
The aim is that the public will have the opportunity to experience nature through environment-friendly outdoor life

How to get there:
Take the road from Skjolden into the Mørkrid valley. Park at Mørkrid parking. (Waypoint PA). Walk by foot on the track to Osen and Åsete witch is marked with red T's. The trip up takes about 30 minutes. If you want to you can walk to Osen by the lake Åsetervatnet and this trip will take about 3 hours extra.
The Cache is a Lock&Lock plastic box (13x10x5cm) covered in black duct tape with Geocache-sticker. The Cache contains loggsheet, pencil and some small trading items.
