This is The first of several more chalenging caches That I will be putting out over the next little while.
To find this cache you need to complete this series of Math problems associated with Grade 9 Mathematics. To some this puzzle might take 5 minutes or 5 hours.
To each number in the set of coordinates I have paired up a math problem with it, that you need to solve in order to get the final set of coordinates.
The Final coordinates should look like;
N 43 AB CDE
W 080 FG HJK
The Problems,
A: Y=X Determine the slope of this equation to get the answer for A.
B: Y=X Determine the Y intercept when
graphing this equation. The Y intercept is your answer to B.
C: [(5) ^3] -2(-4) ^3 Get the final answer to this equation and then divide the answer by
42 to get the answer for C. (Please ignore
the decimals)
D: (m^3) ^4 (2x^3) ^7 (m^3) ^4 (X^3) ^7 Simplify this equation. Next sum the exponents . Then divide the total by 9 to get the answer for D. (Please ignore the decimals)
E: You should NEVER divide by this Number Your answer is the Answer for E.
F: Determine the Area of a regular 16-gon with the diameter of 20 cm and the side length of 20 cm. Divide the area by 800 to get the answer to F. (It doesn't make sense if you draw a picture but the right equation will give you the right answer)
G: Do these two straight lines, Y= 4x + 1 and Y= x -5, intersect at the point (-1, -3). If yes use the number 0 for G, If no use the number 1 for G.
H: Find the interior Angle sum of a Heptagon. And then divide by 300 to get the answer of H.
J: 12x-3y+21=0 Rearrange this equation of a line into Y=mx+b format. Next take the slope of the line and use that as the answer for J.
K: Determine the equation of a line passing through the points (0,5) and (0,12). The answer to the equation is your answer to K.
Note: ^ means to the power of. ex. 5^2 is 25.
Your Answers should lead you to an area that has a pretty good terrain and I ask that you please be safe and not try something that you wouldn't normally do for an FTF (after all we are in Brantford). This cache site should be extremely dangerous at night or If you have small children. A good pair of shoes or boots is a must for retrieving the cache. Once that you have found the Cache and signed the log please put it back JUST AS YOU HAVE FOUND IT.
The Container is my first ammo can and is stuffed with school/ random items along with an FTF prize.
