110 - The firestation



Den nye brannstasjonen i Tromsø


Det ble i 2007 etter mange år med arbeid bestemt at Tromsø kommune skulle bygge ny brannstasjon. Denne nye brannstasjonen vil erstatte hovedbrannstasjonen i sentrum av Tromsø, og bi-stasjonen lokalisert i Tromsdalen. Brannstasjonen har fått en stratetisk plassering i kommunen, mer eksakt i Kulkranssvingen nord for Tromsø sentrum. Utgraving av tomten startet 14. april 2009. Bygget skal etter planen stå ferdig sen sommer 2010, og overtakelse senere utover høsten. Tromsøs gamle hovedstasjon har da vært i aktiv tjeneste i 70 år.

The new Firestation in Tromsø



After many years of hard work it was decided in 2007 that Tromsø Kommune where to build a new fire station. The new firestation will replace the old main fire station in the city of Tromsø, and the one located in Tromsdalen. The new firestation have got a strategic place in the municipality, the place is called Kullkransvingen located north of the city of Tromsø. They started the digging on the building site at april 14th 2009. The firestation will be finished at the end of the summer of 2010 and in use later this fall. The old firestation has been in service for about 70 years.
