A micro cache along the Tom Thomson multi-use trail, close to the public boat launch.
In the old days, we could watch the crazy guys at the "Air Time" BMX bike park. The Happy Bee and I enjoy going for bike rides, but watching the jumps and air tricks is amazing. I always thought the goal was to keep both wheels under me at all times. Now, the BMX bike park has been relocated up to the new Recreation Centre, and they have begun constructing something new here.
So, take the bridge over to the "island" and watch the boats launch. There is often a cool breeze coming off the water, as we prepare for the next leg in our journey.
This can be a very busy area, so discretion and timing is needed.
