The Iida line is paved in shape to cross in the castle though length torrential site of a castle that became a station name is in the place in which it returned from the station to the south for about ten minutes. Castle..person..ring..river..ripen..river..touch..steep..geographical features..make the best use of..natural..fortress..now..preservation of historic sites..pavilion..build.It is called, "Length torrential battle rise festival" on May 5 every year, is demonstrated the arquebus, and it crowds with many spectators.
It is possible to get off at the position where [samusemagawa] and [**rengawa] of getting off [rebako] diverge by exceeding the railway track in the south, and it crowds with families who do dabbling in water at the summer time.
Cache is concealed near the station. The station : in uninhabited.
Please note that the street train comes in the single track enough though it can enter premises, too.

駅名となった長篠城址は駅から南に十分ほど戻ったところにありますが、飯田線はその城内を横断するような形に敷かれています。城は二方を寒狭（かんさ）川と宇連（うれ）川に接し、急峻な地形を生かした自然の要塞となっていて、現在では史跡保存館が建てられています。毎年５月５日には「長篠合戦のぼり祭」と称して火縄銃の実演などが行われ、大勢の観客で賑わいます。
線路を越えて南側に降りればこの寒狭川と宇連川との分岐位置に降りることができ、夏場には水遊びをする家族連れで賑わいます。
cacheは駅の近くに隠されています。駅は無人で
構内にも立ち入ることができますが、単線で、通過列車がきますので十分注意してください。
