Geocache Description:

Time: 7:00 pm til ?

It's that time of year again! Time for our annual summer night caching event! The event that made night caching famous!

We will be having the event at beautiful Hematite Lake in LBL. A tree fell and busted some tables at our usual site, so we are going to try to get the site closest to the portapotty and parking lot, where we had it last year. In case of rain, we will meet at the covered pavilion on the hill.

Hematite Lake is a wonderful little lake for fishing and kayaking! If you get there early, you may find us doing a little of both. Feel free to bring your kayaks and join us!

We will roast hot dogs once again and tell lots of our old tall caching tales! We will supply the hot dogs and all the fixings and we ask that everyone bring their favorite side item to share! Be as creative as you like. We've had some very interesting side items in the past! There will also be sweet tea and water available, but feel free to bring your favorite drink if you prefer. We ask that there be no alcoholic beverages at this event.

We've been working to come up with a NEW NIGHT CACHE that we hope will be fun and will try to make it a permanent one for others to enjoy. Cachers of all levels of experience will love it!

If you would like to join the area cachers who camp out this weekend at Energy Lake, visit this website: (visit link)

Make sure you bring your flashlights, your lawn chairs, and some bug spray, as the mosquitos can get bad out there at times! The night cache will require some walking, so closed toe shoes such as tennis shoes or hiking shoes are recommended and flip flops and sandals are NOT recommended!

All are welcome to this event! We enjoy meeting new cachers as well as seeing our old caching friends. Please come and plan to have lots of fun!

** We will also be honoring local cachers who have 1000+ finds at this event. You won't want to miss it!
