This is another hide in the Broward History Tour series.
Originally opened in 1938, this place has been the setting of
innumerable magical moments in the lives of many, both in reality,
and on the silver screen. An iconic location used by many directors
as a perfect setting for spring break scenes and location for
1965's award winning movie "Where the boys are".
This is the origin of and the Ground Zero for Spring Break. It
has survived multiple changes in the society of Fort Lauderdale, as
well as numerous hurricanes.
Political leaders have held rallies here, icons have drank with
the average Joe, and the place itself serves as its own historical
museum as well.
If you don't love this place, you are probably living in the
wrong city, maybe the wrong state.
You are looking for a small altoids tin, placed five feet to the
east of the outside sign. Cache is always available, but the level
of muggles will depend on when you go. Please be careful not to
ruin the sanctity of the hide, as it will be very easy to be seen
(but also just as easy to blend in and make the find)
FTF received an official certificate recognizing your
accomplishment.
Don't think. Just go.
