Purpose: Social Fun
This is part of the "2010 Discover the Island" Cache Event Tour. Geo-events are being scheduled throughout the Island to encourage cachers to get out and discover the "Best of PEI" through its festivals, events and local cache hides.
Island cachers are well-known for our great cache hides and even better hospitality. So far this year we've welcomed off-Island cachers with events in their honour -- rootie's sister, BC cacher Kodiack with "Guns and Suds Events" (GC283PG) and AB cacher venturetrex with "East & West Unite at Union Corner" (GC2808C). Here's a chance to welcome ON cacher portera back to the Island and "party down" Island style!
Come out for a "cowboy picnic event" (spurs and chaps optional), bring a picnic lunch, sit a spell and spin some tall tale caching yarns with your fellow Island cachers, and let portera know why it sucks not to be an "Islander"!
Plus, lots of great prizes up for grabs.
Stay around afterwards for the Kensington Harvest Festival street parade, watch Island cattle penning, or go grab one of the ~ 30 nearby caches within 3 kms. An interesting new multi cache -- "Body Parts" -- will also be released in conjunction with the event.
