Ammo can in the woods. . . nice and easy. As of some time in 2011, this is no longer an ammo can, but it's still a regular at the same coords.
This is my homage to Adium and DewAlien's Owl's Nest Cache GC1BT3N. That cache has been at the top of the page (on my closest caches to home) for well over a year. I missed out on an opportunity to climb more or less safely to that cache a year ago, and then I tore my hamstring, so it has been out of the question for the past 6 months. I feel really badly that the cache was archived because it was reported as muggled, when I know full well that it is still located up in the tree. On the other hand, the area where the tree is, has gone through a number of changes since the hide was first placed. Instead of 35' off the ground, the first limb is almost accessible at only about 15-20" off the ground on one side now. This means that it is no longer quite the insane challenge that was originally intended. I have placed this nice easy cache to keep the memory of Owl's Nest alive, and also to make sure that no one else can take over the location and continue to haunt me with a cache I can't safely retrieve on my own. This cache is easy, and child friendly, and I started it with some goodies for kids, but that is not a required theme.
