Micro placed near intersection where Cindy has "hit" two deer!
BYOP!
(Mosquitos were really BAD when we placed the cache--hopefully they won't be there for long!)
Was just informed that it can get pretty MUDDY when it rains! After ALL the rain we have had this week, especially today 6/13/10 I guess it is pretty muddy! Take CARE when trying to get it!
CONGRATULATIONS to TravelingQueen for FTF!
We have lived in Sanpete County (Fairview, Oaker Hills, Hideaway Valley, Manti and Ephraim) for 12+ years. During that time, Cindy has "hit" two deer! BOTH have been near this intersection (Hwy 89, Hwy 132 and Pigeon Hollow Road). BOTH times it was RAINING and DARK! BOTH times she was driving toward Ephraim.
The first time, she had already SLOWED down because there were cars stopped on the East and the West and cars going North and South. She had just gotten through the intersection when a deer jumped out of nowhere and was right in front of her van. She hit the deer and pulled to the West side of the road. When she stopped she looked around and there were NO CARS ANYWHERE! NO ONE had seen or stopped to make sure everything was OK!
The second time, (L) was in the passenger seat. She had already SLOWED down because she was leary of this area from the previous incident. They saw a deer WALKING across the road. (East to West) Cindy slowed down as much as possible and gently pulled toward the West, hoping to get "around" the deer, when the deer tried to JUMP over our car! It dented the front driver's quarter panel, ripped off the rear-view mirror on the driver's side, and dented the driver's door! When we stopped to check the damage, we looked around and the deer had disappeared. It was NOWHERE to be seen!
Cindy NEVER goes through this intersection, now, without her foot covering the brake!!!
(L) has called this "Cindy's Corner" ever since this happened. We decided to call the cache "Deer" Cindy! =)
