M. A (Bay of Plenty) Traditional Cache

Please allow plenty of time. About 1.5 hours from Opotiki to Te Kaha then 3/4 of an hour inland to Maungaroa Station each way.
Go to the Station house 1st. and let the owners in on what your up to.
NO HUNTING
The four Geocache's, Otautu A, B, C and D are for fit active people. Expect two good climbs, take lunch, good walking shoes or tramping boots and extra outdoor clothing. Please take your own pen to fill out log book.
Otautu A – Elevation 144m
Otautu B – Elevation 100m
Otautu C – Elevation 45m
Otautu D – Elevation 173m
This is a full day trip return from Opotiki to Maungaroa Station.
Call 07 325 2727 for road conditions and give Lynn or Malcolm MacDonald the reason why you are visiting the Station.
Kereru River access is only for experienced 4x4 drivers with good vehicles. A minimum of two vehicles should access the riverbed. This river area is treated as private property by the locals – please stay on the tracks.
