About the cache:
This cache is hidden, with permission, on the Chelsea Community Hospital grounds. Sidewalks and manicured lawns eventually lead to the wooded area in which the cache is hidden (best approach is from the north). Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. The cache container is a Lock-n-Lock. There are several possibilities within a 50-foot radius, so let your GPSr settle... or check the hint for a clue.
Note: Terrain is a 2.5 because the ground is extremely uneven under the thick blanket of fallen leaves. Several of us would step on the leaves' surface, only to have our feet continue through into an airpocket a half foot below.
About the cache contents:
The initial cache contents are geared towards the typical Chelsea family and include modeling clay, a mini-bottle of bubbles, a round container of rainbow-colored goop, a YMCA wristband, a Hannah Montana door hanger kit, a limited-edition Zip the cat mini Beanie Baby in original packaging, a mini-bottle of hand sanitizer, and more. Please sign the log and, if taking something, please leave something family oriented. Thanks!
About the Chelsea Family:
Small-town America is alive and well in Chelsea, MI. Although it is legally a city, Chelsea is very much a village in feel. Shop owners know their customers by name, parents take their kids out for evening ice creams, and the town library -- voted the best small library in America in 2008 -- is the hangout of choice for adults and children alike. Families participate in 4-H activities, look forward to the many parades, and plan their summers around the annual community fair. Chelsea is distinctly devoid of movie theaters, toy stores, video game shops, and other key signs of suburbia. Our family couldn't be happier here.
Congrats to FunnyNose and HelloLola! on their FTF!
