Geocache Description:

Situated in the Porongurups National Park at the well-known local landmark called Devil's Slide. It is indeed a devil to climb and can be a fiendishly slippery descent. So it's safe to say that although it's a hell of a climb, the views at the top are heavenly. Wear good strong shoes and it's also a good idea to make sure the seats of your pants are strong too because you might have cause to use them on the way down.

Start your walk from the car park at the end of the road leading to the National Park which is signposted from Porongurup village. From here it is a gradual uphill walk along a gravel track called the Wansborough Trail until you reach the Devil's Slide track on your right.

When you've recovered from the climb and absorbed the views and lungfuls of fresh air, look for a small round green container about the size of a 35 mm film canister. It's only large enough for the log and a pencil.

The trail is marked with blue ribbons at present and varies between bare rock face, narrow steps and boggy pathway.

It can be done on its own or combined with a longer walk around Nancy's Peak where you can find 2 more caches courtesy of Albany Nomads and We Found It2.
