Tornado Drill Traditional Cache
cjscuba: Our cache must be archived because a group of 4 or 5 local pre-teens keep emptying out the cache and then throwing it to the ground. Sad thing is, I think these boys found this cache on a Boy Scout trip and know better than this. I have even confronted them and they still come back. Oh, it is in my back yard, which doesn't even deter them. So sad!

This cache is a Lock&Lock measuring 4in X 4in X 8in (sandwich box). It is big enough for small trade items and contains a log and pen. Beware of muggles, especially during soccer and baseball season!
This cache was placed to celebrate the new tornado siren at Veterans Memorial Park in Sylvania. Since our family lives within earshot of the new siren it is a BIG DEAL! If you are not from the area you do not know what you are missing here in Sylvania. Sylvania has 252 acres of parkland, from small show parks to lakes with rowboats and paddleboats to larger parks with waterslides and athletic fields. Some are run by Sylvania Parks & Forestry, some by city and township joint boards. But they’re all outstanding examples of how natural beauty and outdoor play make our lives better. Veterans Memorial Park is just one of many, it offers four baseball fields, a course for runners and space for soccer on 19 acres. Exercise run is free access.
