I was on the lake today with my dad and some real good friends. We had decided to put out a few caches on the lake when we found the right spot. While we found some other nice places we did not have the proper craft and needed some additional equipment to place the type of caches that we intended to place on this great lake. So on the way home from the day’s adventure we decided to place on close to the boat ram that we use when we come here.
I thought it would be nice to have one that is easily accessible if you have a small boat or even one without a motor. From Elm Hill Marina you could paddle an inflatable “toy” boat safely to this one. However since I did put it out it had to be a little different and not extremely easy. If you have found some of the better caches in Clarksville you know what kind of container you are looking for. If not I just say it is water tight and is homemade.
Please take the time to properly secure the lid so that it stays dry. Do not remove the cache from its location just twist the lid, give it a tug and it will open up.
If you park near the boat ramp at Elm Hill there is a $5 Parking/ Boat launch fee, however there are other places on the lake to launch your boat. This is just the closest one to the cache.
