Geocache Description:


The ninth of Water Slider's series of walks on the footpaths around the villages of north and north east Leeds.

This walk is a less than three miles and is circular walk from the village of Aberford on public bridleways and footpaths mostly over farmland, with the distant noise of the A1(M)!

There are six caches and a bonus, if you do all six, each has information which will allow you to find the bonus cache.

Parking is available on Main Street, we parked at N 53° 50.034 W 001° 20.550.

From number 5 continue along the side of the wood and just before the corner take the small path into the wood, after a short time bear right by the Forestry Commission sign. When you reach the small clearing take the path on the left and continue until you go over the stile and out of the wood.

After the wood continue through the field and straight on at the crossroads of paths and through the next field. After going over the stile go straight ahead, after the house continue on the path, not the road. Follow this path back to the footbridge and then retrace the path back to the starting place.
