Geocache Description:

This geocache is intended for trail users. I guess you could drive close to it - but what fun would that be? It is near the 36 mile marker. The trail head is near the 32.5 mile marker.

Four helpful photos are posted in the "Related Web Page" link above.

Start at the Devil's Garden Trailhead (Switchback Mountain) on Bliss Road (formerly known as Squaw Flats Road).

Important: start traveling on the trail North towards Sprague River - the most obvious way to travel from the parking area is South so make sure you see the mile markers getting higher not lower. Continue for two and a half miles down the gentle switchbacks along this former railroad grade. Pass by a nice little spring where your dogs can get a drink. Enjoy views of Mount Thielsen and Mount Scott as you close in on the geocache.

The cache is a small (3-4 inch) clear tupperware container with a blue lid and is located very close to the 36 mile marker.

When you get to the stop and turn right (East) and go down the short, little slope and look beneath the old, dead tree on the ground. There it is!
