The Cateran is a circular trail right in the heard of Scotland, taking you along roads, forest tracks and drovers trails. You are walking on a variety of terrain, from good forest roads, to rough tracks, to narrow tracks to grass with no defined path. Although slight inclines, there are high deer stiles to cross, not all have dog flaps. There are sheep grazing in some areas.

Following in the footsteps of Caterans this trail takes in lots of views and interesting sites. This cache is following an old drovers track through fields of cows and sheep and taking you to an ancient limekiln.
