Traditional cache located amidst a large housing development in Dumfries, Virginia.
***Update 8JAN2020: If anyone is an active geocacher and permanent resident in NOVA, interested in adopting this cache, please contact me. I've been away from NOVA since 2014 and would like to (finally) leave this cache in the hands of someone who can give it the proper care that it deserves. This is my first Virginia cache. My daughter really enjoys going for walks in this area and going to the nearby playground. The cache is placed near a man-made pond that has become overgrown with cat-tails and hence is a perfect habitat for the beautiful red-winged blackbird. I discovered several of the birds here and decided it would make a nice place for a cache. There is suficient tree-cover around the cache so that you should be out of sight from most muggles. Cache container is an Army-issue green waterproof match container. Cache contains only a log and a geocache description page. BYOP. Cache coordinates are accurate to within 4 meters. Cache may be wheel-chair accessible. Parking lot is located within 100 feet of the cache location. Good luck!
