Davis Peak provides a great view of the Lewis and Columbia Rivers in SW Washington. Unfortunately for me, the fog wouldn't burn off this morning. At least not until I was half way down the road on the return trip! ARGH!
There is a logging operation near-by so you may find the road temporarily blocked my machinery. Don't worry, just find someone and ask where you can park where you'll be out of the way. The guys were really freindly this morning and didn't have a problem with me being there at all. I asked if I'd be in anyone's way if I was wondering around out there. They said it wasn't a problem. Anyway, just tell them you're headed for Davis Peak, and they'll let you know if there's any problem. It's a locally well known view point.
The cache is a small, cylindrical container. You can't see it from the path. If you're almost directly above it you should be able to see it.
Enjoy the view and the walk.

p.s. I wasn't sure about the difficulty rating. If you think it's harder to find than a 2 (or easier) give me feedback.
