SUNSET @ 7 CATS Traditional Cache
whtphx: After the last DNF, I swung by to check on cache and found out that there had been a fire that consumed the tree and bushes that housed the cache. I was unable to locate cache. I assume it burned up in the fire. Thanks to all. Looking forward to placing new ones around our beautiful state.

Cache is located near the Seven Cataracts vista on Mt. Lemmon. Parking at Seven Cataracts is best as it provides a longer, but easier climb down to the cache location. The second pull out after cataracts on the way down (the one prior to it on the way up) is closer to the cache, but the climb down might be a bit tougher because of steepness and shrubbery. I do not recommend doing this cache during monsoon - watch for lose rocks and gravel.
No fees are required for parking at Seven Cataracts Vista. Please observe park hours.
My friends and I go on motorcycle rides to Mt Lemmon just about every day. Seven Cataracts is one of our stops along with windy point.... while most of our rides are at night, we do make it up there on cooler days - and stop by to watch the sunset.... as we did on this occasion. I was equipped with my geocaching stash.. so i figured I'd place one on this stretch of Hitchcock Hwy - since there wasn't a cache nearby.
Enjoy the vistas - and while you're out there, check out the beat up, rusted van down below in the canyon... a reminder to park and stare, not drive and stare!
