Cache is located at Tifft Nature Preserve. Admission is free; donations are welcome. Trails are open year round during daylight hours. No night caching at this location.
I belong to BSA Troop 256. I set up this cache as part of my Geocaching Badge.
This cache uses a plastic shoe box. In it you will find a log book, pen, and something to take. Currently I have pencils from my school. Please take an item and leave an item.
The Preserve contains 264 acres of marsh, swamp, ponds, woodlands, thickets and grassy fields. Birds of 264 species and subspecies have been recorded within and immediately adjacent to its boundaries. The Preserve's proximity to the east shore of Lake Erie and its isolation from similar habitats make it very attractive for both migrant and resident birds. Sixty-five species of birds have been found breeding or probably breed here.
I checked this cache on 6/26/10 and switched the plastic shoe box for an ammo box. Thanks to BuffalosGandalf for giving me the ammo box!! Scout leaders are the Best!!! :)
