Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache in a small container.
a very short walk from parking area. (Just behind the outhouse) Kid and pet friendly area. Bring a fishing pole if you have one!

In 2008 a Frisbee Golf course was commissioned at the lake. It starts and ends at the boat launch / picnic area. This cache is on the Frisbee course, so you may have to watch out for muggles.
Boating and Fishing are available. Lake Nellie Dam is on South Fork Sugar Creek in Fayette County, Illinois and is used for drinking water and recreation purposes. Construction was completed in 1963. Its normal surface area is 67 acres. It is owned by the City Of Saint Elmo. Lake Nellie Dam, also known as Lake Nellie is of earthen construction. Its height is 41 feet with a length of 460 feet. Maximum discharge is 6095 cubic feet per second. Its capacity is 1478 acre feet. Normal storage is 835 acre feet. It drains an area of 2.5 square miles.
The lake is no longer used for drinking water reservoir, no it is just for recreation.
