Geocache Description:

Easy hike in one of Kent's nicest parks

The cache is hidden in a park near Sevenoaks within view of Knole House. The house was once owned by Henry VIII and the estate is believed to date back to the 12th Century.

This is a shoebox sized tupperware container. Use the deer trails to avoid damaging the plant life. From the cache site you can see the East side of the house. Take the time to come at the house from the North for the best views. The cache was placed in late November but the autumn tree colours were still superb.

Knole House and some of the wildlife

There are numerous ways into the park. One possibility is to park at N 51 16.234' E 0 11.788'. This is a pay & display. From here you can find a footpath to the park in the South East corner. A more gentle route is through the Sevenoaks Environmental Park, with an entrance from the same car park.

Hope you enjoy our first UK cache. I grew up in this town and although we now live a long way away cant resist coming back to this area every chance we get. During summer months some negotiation of bracken may be required as a result watch rabbit holes, etc. when getting closer to the cache.

NOTE: recent finders reported nettles in the area so please approach the cache with cation although it is still accessable.

Happy caching, Zcat.
