Geocache Description:

I hope you enjoy finding this cache as much as I enjoyed hiding it.

Please no night caching as the park is closed.

This cache is "reely" fun. You'll see what I mean.

This could almost count as a multi-cache, but not quite.

PLEASE wear long pants no matter how hot it is. You'll need them for the last 20 yards or so. PLEASE bring water or some form of hydration because there is none anywhere around (after all, it is a preserve, not a park). PLEASE use hefty amounts of bug spray as the mosquitoes can be quite thick at times. PLEASE check yourself for ticks once you're back home.

Also, plan at least an hour for this cache, as the hike to and from the cache takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your walking speed.

To get started, work your way to the Boot Lake Nature Preserve off of Williams Ln in Northern Elkhart. Do not attempt to access this cache through private land. This cache can be accessed through the trails on the nature preserve. All the trails you will use are on public land, so no worries.

Take your time and enjoy this beautiful area. You might as well, because I'm not going to tell you which trails to take to get you to the cache :-P . It's really not that hard though. One of the reasons I'm placing this cache is to show you one of the most beautiful, almost untouched areas in Elkhart County.

I found this area by seeking another cache in this preserve: William's Boot (GC5BEC) by the great capt zigzag and echoes.

The cache is indeed an ammo box, but it's by no means your average hide. You shouldn't need a hint, so I won't post one for now.

In the three trips I took to this location to hide this cache, I think I only saw three other people. I didn't go during any of the prime times (Friday or Saturday afternoon/evening). I don't think you'll run into too many people. This place is pretty desolate which is part of it's appeal.

Mr. Snappypants (TB), a Handheld LED Flashlight, A 1 month trial of Netflix, and other great swag await the first few finders.
