This is a typical NW cache in a woodsy area within the boundaries of Shoreline Community College.
You are looking for a sandwich size cammo’ed lock and lock that is about 30 feet off a wide trail that is accessed via the stairs to and from the Greenwood parking lot. No bushwhacking will be needed and you will be glad to know that no nettles or blackberry vines are going to bother you here. The tree canopy is heavy so signals may be fluky. I used a five minute average and was getting 12 foot accuracy but it was a good day with no rain or clouds. Your signals may vary a lot.
There is an unactivated TB for FTF and a "Sniffer Skunk" pin and some swag items for others.
Parking is available nearby but permits are required according to the signs posted. However, I’ve parked here in student parking when classes are not in session and have had no problem. No guarantees with that. Visitor parking is available at the main entrance but that will leave you with a quarter mile walk to GZ. The Greenwood lot is closer but not always open. Another option is to park at any of the parking areas at the nearby Shoreview Park and include this cache while visiting the other caches in that park. The trails are interconnected but require going over some steep terrain.
9/28/2010 This cache has been replaced after being muggled and lost completely. It has been replaced in kind but I would recommend that no trackables be placed here until we see if it goes un-muggled for a few weeks or more. It has been hidden in a better way than before. Experienced cachers will know where to look but it is not as obvious as originally placed. Location is basically the same, just better hidden. Please help by re-hiding as well or better than you find it
