Meet at the Tapp Road trail parking lot.
Come out and meet some of your fellow cachers for a nice leisurely
walk through the Rails-to-Trails network of Bloomington. We'll walk
the nice wide flat trail from Tapp Rd south to nearly Church Lane
then head north and follow the trail all the way to downtown
Bloomington. The total distance will be approximately 6 miles so
plan accordingly. You might want to bring some water, it will
probably be warm. And thanks to Deermark for letting us borrow his
Trailmix name.
Update:
There is construction along the trail north of Grimes Road. The
original plan was to walk all the way to 8th Street but that's
probably not a good idea with all of the work happening. So we are
going to stop at Grimes Road. Also, so we don't have to walk back
to the starting point, we'll need some volunteers with larger
vehicles to help with the shuttle back to the starting point.
Update # 2:
If you have a larger vehicle and want to help with shuttling people
back to the finish meet at 8:30 at N39° 9.220', W086° 32.214'
That's across the street from MCA's cache Tower of Power GC25GR1.
