Geocache Description:

One of "The Royal Couple" 8-part series of caches all centered around the King and Queen buildings in Sandy Springs. There are 7 caches you must visit in order to find the 8th, which has a stash of better-quality trade items.

If you plan to try for the 8th cache ("Atlanta's Royal Couple: The King's Treasure Chest - GC2RQPT") you should make note of the following information about THIS cache:

** Color of the railings **

THIS CACHE IS NOT AT THE LOCATION POSTED

You'll have to do a bit of easy research and basic math to find this cache.

This cache takes you to a good spot to view Atlanta's "King & Queen" buildings at the Concourse office campus in Sandy Springs.

Cache is a bison tube.
If you find a waterproof match container, that's the old cache that went missing, feel free to recycle it somewhere, though I'd really like to know about it 'cause it's been driving me crazy. :-)

You may have to climb a flight of stairs. If not, you can drive right up to the cache site.

To obtain actual cache location start with this:

33 55.nnnn
84 20.wwww

To get nnnn:

The two buildings were completed in two different years. Add those two years together.

The buildings are located near the junction of two large highways. Subtract the highways from the years total.

Both buildings are the same number of stories high. Multiply the number of stories in one building by seven and add to result, then add another twenty

To get wwww:

Take nnnn and double it.

The Queen building is lighted pink one month per year. Multiply the number of that month by the number of stories contained in one building. Subtract this from the previous total.

There is another major North/South highway about six miles to the west. Subtract that highway number from the total to get wwww

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Note that my numbers give you one more digit of accuracy than the puzzle checker allows. Just drop the last digit in each coordinate and it'll work fine.

Used to be a 10 part series due to development now reduced to an 8 part series. A plus less time to find them all :)
