Disclaimer: You attempt this cache of your own free will. If you
get injured or die you only have yourself to blame. Neither
geocaching.com or myself are responsible. Climbing is a dangerous
sport that requires you to adhere to strict safety measures. This
cache requires the use of specialized climbing equipment. Now that
being said, myself, my wife and my 12 year old Jungle Jess all made
this climb. The cache is approximately 60 feet in the air as shown
in the picture. It is stuffed full of great prizes. Please take
care when opening the ammo box. All items are loose inside. You may
need an extra lanyard to secure the box in order to log and make
your trade.
Please perform the signing where the cache is located. Do not
lower it to the ground for others to sign. The cache is located in
a county park on the outskirts of Cameron. There are pavillions,
flush toilets, trails and a basketball court. A nice peaceful place
to relax.
These are the tools I used to place the cache: Petzl Pantin,
Petzl handled ascender, Michocan hitch, Hitchclimber pulley, Ice
tail eye n eye, 150 feet arbormaster rope. Petzl BOD harness. Have
fun!
Final note. Please use non invasive climbing
techniques. ie. NO climbing gaffs - hooks - spikes. You could
imagine what this could do to a tree after just a few climbs.
Adhere to all park rules posted at the park entrance.
