Beyond The End of the Line Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TC_seeker: Went to check on this cache and it is nowhere to be found. This was never a very popular hide so I'm just not going to bother replacing it. It was our first hide but now we have another that is much more popular. When/If Wallingford ever gets around to extending the walking path, I would like to put another hide back here, but for now, best to put this one to rest.

Geocache Description:

A quick additional walk beyond the end of the Quinnipiac River Linear Trail!

Our very first hide! We feel like we are real Geocachers now! We walk on the Wallingford linear trail fairly often, but with other walks we have been going on lately, partially because of geocaching, we have begun to find the length of this path a bit....wanting.

On one particular walk, I happened to notice that there is a not quite obvious path that continues off the paved path and into the wooded area further in. We decided to explore and thought it might be a good place to hide a cache. While the path is pretty well defined, it doesn't seem like many people go back there.

If you would like to extend your walk on the Wallingford path just little extra bit, this cache will add 0.3-0.4 miles onto your round trip. Not much extra, but it might be just enough.

Cache is a little black micro canister. Cache contains only a log so bring your own writing implement.

We hope you like this hide, we have a few others planned in the Wallingford area. We thought an easy one would be good for our first. Path can be a little overgrown in the height of summer. I didn't see any poison ivy, but it's possible I missed it. If someone spots some, let me know and I'll post a warning about it. When in season, there are blueberry and raspberry bushes along the way. You just might get some if they haven't been picked clean!

No hint as one shouldn't be needed even for a novice cacher.
