Cold Cache - now come and explore another cool spot in the Bow
Valley corridor.
You can access the parking spot by heading east on the Trans
Canada. Then take the short connector trail to the Trans-Canada
trail. Head west (right) until the trail splits off at the
reference point below. If you get to the Poplar trail sign, you
have gone too far, if you get to the bike ramp, you have really
gone too far. Head up the trail until you get to McGillivray Creek.
To get to the cache, you will have to stay on the high trail, but
for some post-cache fun, go down to the cairn in the creek, and try
hiking up the creek. How far you get will depend on the water
level, how prepared you are and your fear factor.
Please be careful, it can be very slippery in wet weather in
here.
Cache is a 600ml round Lock n Lock at the base of a stump under
a rock and bark. Because of the sketchy signal in here, there is
also some flagging tape nearby.
