Geocache Description:

Please bring your own writing utensil.

The Village of Lohrville that exists today was not always known by that name. The original name for this town was Puerth. The name more than likely comes from Ireland as there were a large number of Irish immigrants who worked in the quarries around the area.

The name was changed when the post office was established and thus became known as Lohrville.
