Geocache Description:

Small plastic container

This cache was placed for the summer solstice June 21. The word solstice is derived from a combination of latin words sol and stice meaning sun and to stand still. It is the day with the most daylight in the northern hemisphere and the beginning of summer. The day has been celebrated for centuries by many civilizations.

You are searching for a small plastic container just off the paved trail in Flatwood park. It is a short walk from parking off the interpretive trail #1 road and has a water station less than 200 ft from the cache.

Please let us know what you enjoy about summer.

Enjoy.
