Welcome to GJMMelb's 11th hide. JMelb was driving along Canterbury Rd on the way to visit her Dad when on the (newly aquired) car GPS she saw a bit of green on Glenburnie Rd and so decided to go investigate..... What she found was most Unexpected! The road was like a little country lane and the green on the car GPS was Buckanbe Park which looked lovely from the carpark but she didnt have time to investigate any further at that time. She later returned with GMelb and we explored the park finding an even more Unexpected Dam which after some internet research we have discovered it is an Old Farm Property Dam. And now you can come and visit this serene place too!
Even though there are closer approaches to the cache we FULLY FULLY recommend parking in Glenburnie Rd to get the full appreciation of the area and to pass the Dam on the way to the cache. The waypoint for the Carpark is S37 50.000 E145 12.019. Hey!! Getting an exact minute like that was most Unexpected!! Cool huh!!
When you set off again, continue along the rest of Glenburnie Rd to take in the whole atmosphere! We really hope you enjoy visiting this Unexpected little gem!
