Geocache Description:


Fjellet heter Torghatten. Det er et av verdens mest kjente og særpregede fjell. Det er Brønnøysunds største turistattraksjon på grunn av hullet som går gjennom. Hullet er nemlig stort. Det er 160 meter langt, 35 meter høyt, og 20 meter bredt!

Det går merket sti til hullet. Du kan også gå rundt fjellet på sørsiden langs fin turvei. Etter ca 1 km tar du av på en sti for å komme opp til hullet. Det aller fineste er å ta det som en rundtur og gå gjennom fjellet.

Det er vanskelige gps-forhold ved cachen. Koordinatene kan være svært unøyaktige. For å kompensere for dette kan du bruke vedlagte spoilerbilder.

Oppdatering:
I 2023 ble stien gjennom hullet sterkt forbedret. Nå er det bygd steintrapper helt opp til hullet, gjennom, ned til en utsiktsplattform, videre ned mot vest. Nede kan du følge turveien langs havet tilbake til stistart.

English:
The name of the mountain is Torghatten. It is one the most spectacular mountains in the world because of the hole through it. And it is a really big hole: Length 160 meters, height 35 meters and width 20 meters.

A trail is starting just nearby the parking area. Another option is to go SW around the mountain. You can follow a trail from the parking area. After about 1 km you should follow a smaller path to the hole. The very best adventure is to go through the hole and make a roundtrip.

It is very difficult to get exact position from the gps system nearby the cache. To compensate for this you can use the spoiler images.

Update:
In 2023 the whole path was significantly upgraded. You can now easily make a roundtrip. Recommended!
