Geocache Description:

Located near the home of Newlyn spuds.

You will be looking for a 200ml container hidden near the Newlyn reservoir. The original dam was built in 1871 and the current one in 1961. Water level at the time of placement was only 13%. Some mighty good brown trout have been caught here over the years. Newlyn is well known for being spud growing country. The soil around here really does produce good'ns. Those long french fries at Maccas probably came from around here. I hope one day I will have to come up here to replace this cache due to the water level in the dam being too high. Fingers crossed.
Well I'm happy to say that this cache was indeed moved due to rapidly rising water not too long after placement. My thanks to Bristlehound for saving it before it went under and finding a new hide. Happy Hunting.
