This camouflaged 1 litre container is hidden for the more adventurous on my favourite rocky outcrop just north of Lindsay Avenue in Alice Springs.
This cache is accessed via a vague track which begins at the coordinates S 23 41.215; E 133 53.327. A short sharp climb is rewarded by great views back over Alice Springs, but also spectacular scenery towards the telegraph station and Todd River valley. Much evidence of animals are present on the way up, hence the name of the cache. The hide is about 75 - 100 metres from the best view, but placed in its location to avoid accidental discovery. Take the time to walk that last section and enjoy the sights.
Original contents include FTF certificate, log book and pen, Bilby TB, matchbox cars, fishing game, Melbourne souvenir, horse key tag, and kangaroo stickers.
