Geocache Description:

We came from the moors and the dales of counties round the British Isles, The cobbled streets of London and other towns, Misty moors and hethered Glens of Scotland, Rhodesia as well. Some with little children to live this adventure in the Aussie bush, To this Promised Land Australia we came, our heads held high, chest full of pride We faced the Australian Bush, Some with daunting awe at those huge native trees, Who with the wind sang there ghostly songs to novices coming near. We camped along the creeks till our blocks were allocated, The foreman of the camp gave out the machinery of the day. A grubber, an axe, a shovel and a cross cut saw, We cleared our patch to pitch our tent or build a tin humpy, our first home on this distant shore. To be continued at the site of the plaque.
