Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series placed to coincide with the nearby Wild West Cache Bash - 2010 camping event.

Originally built in the 17th Century, The Globe has been an integral part of the heritage of Newton St. Loe, the old colliery was even named after the building. The west side of the two-storey pub was added in the 1800's, with the east side still containing remnants of the original building.
