SeaGirtLight: It's with some sadness, mixed with some joy, that I'm archiving this cache. It was my first-ever cache, placed the first summer I was caching. The name comes from the famous Dire Straits song I listened to that summer on a loop as I wound across New Jersey racking up finds with new friends. Brothers in Arms can still send me back to 2010.
But after years of languishing, the Egg-O-Mat no longer resides in the back corner of the Warren DPW lot. It's moved to a new, indoor, location, with plans to be restored and on display soon. It needs a lot of work, so we'll see how long it takes, but I'm excited to be part of the project.
With the Egg-O-Mat gone from here, so is the information needed to find this cache. Thus, it's time to archive it. Thank you all for visiting, and seeing this little bit of Warren history. This is still an area worth visiting, with several other caches and several historic sites related to the Hofheimer family, who owned this land for the first part of the 20th century.
Once the Egg-O-Mat finds its new home, I intend to revive this cache, and bring you all to see it again all spiffy and restored!
Dropping my "Cache Rover" TB in here for eternity, which was stuck to my now-retired 1993 Range Rover that took me through many of those journeys.
