Geocache Description:

Der Cache "Federvieh" befindet sich am Wiesloch Gänsberg.

Der Wieslocher Gänsberg war seit der Steinzeit immer wieder besiedelt. Im Mittelalter befand sich hier ein größeres Dorf. Dieses wurde jedoch um 1526 zu Wiesloch zwangseingemeindet. Eine Heilquelle entspringt am Fuß des Berges. Im 17./18. Jahrhundert wurde die Anhöhe als Feldlager genutzt. Ein Bergwerk bestand hier um 1950.
